The FAT Method

The method of keeping track of the contents of a hard drive was first introduced in 1977 and is called the FAT method. The table shows the numbers that correspond to the addresses on the hard drive. There are different types of FAT and operating systems that use them.

The FATX16 and FATX32 on-disk structures are incompatible with normal FAT16 and FAT32 file systems, making it impossible for normal FAT file system drivers to mount such volumes.

Unsaturated Fat

An important source of essential fatty acids is fat. Vitamins A, D, E, and K are fat-soluble and can only be absorbed and transported with fat. Plants and fish oil have higher amounts of unsaturated acids.

You say that FAT often means FAT32. It supports partition sizes up to 2 tb or 16 tb with 64 kbps clusters. You can only set it up to 32 gigabytes in Windows Disk Management.

The only version of FAT that is still widely used is FAT32. As capacities of storage media increase, the weaknesses of FAT32 would become clearer. ExFAT is one of the replacements that is meant for newer, newer media like SDXC.
