The consequences of human rights violations

There are many difficulties in defining consequences for a human rights violation. There are many documents and statements about human rights, but there is no universally accepted definition of a human right. When a violation of human rights is also subject to a specific law, it results in legal consequences.

Taking action in consequence can put the world on the verge of war, and require the commitment of peace-keeping troops from member nations that may not have any desire to get involved, because large multinational organizations may despair in what they consider human rights violations in both member and non-member states. There are mechanisms that are meant to prevent and stop human rights violations. The UN Security Council is often criticized for failing to act on violations of rights stated in the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other UN-sanctioned documents.

The Security Council has the right to take deterrent measures, such as trade sanctions, if it is proven that a human rights violation has taken place. Sometimes military action by UN troops can be allowed. Poverty is often the cause of crime.

Human Rights Violations by a State

A state can either directly or indirectly violate human rights. The state can either intentionally perform a violation or fail to prevent it. Police, judges, prosecutors, government officials, and more can be involved in human rights violations by a state.

Rights such as the right to a fair trial can be violated in nature, but not in the same way as police brutality. Conflict can also cause violations of the right to peaceful assembly. States are usually responsible for the violations when they try to maintain control.

Human Rights Violation is Not a Single Exchange

A human rights violation is not necessarily caused by a single negative exchange between two people. The State is not required to intervene in every situation.

The root causes of crises are political and economic rights being violated. There is a chance of great social unrest when large groups of people are excluded from the society's decision-making processes.

Justice conflicts can be caused by such conditions, in which parties demand that their needs be met. Many conflicts are caused by violations of human rights. Killings or torture may inflame hatred and make an adversary want to fight.

The act of violating

The act of violating is the state of being violated. A : transgression, specifically : an violation of the rules in sports that is less serious than a foul and usually involves technicalities of play. An act of profanation is an act of irreverence.

Every person and all peoples are entitled to participate in, contribute to, and enjoy civil, political, economic, social and cultural development through which human rights and fundamental freedoms can be realized. The legal standards for human rights instruments must be followed by states and other duty-bearers.

The UN Commission Human Rights

The UN Commission Human Rights was replaced by the Human Rights Council on 15 March 2006 after the General Assembly established it. The Council is made up of 47 State representatives and is tasked with promoting and protecting human rights around the globe by addressing situations of human rights violations and making recommendations on them. The UN human rights activities are taken care of by the High Commissioner for Human Rights.

The High Commissioner is required to respond to serious violations of human rights. The oversight body that is responsible for reviewing the implementation of the core human rights treaties is usually from the country that has ratified it. The Committees overseeing human rights treaties can be used to file complaints.

Human rights is a theme in all UN policies and programmes in the areas of peace and security, development, humanitarian assistance, and economic and social affairs. The protection of human rights is a priority for almost every UN body and agency. The right to development is at the core of the sustainable development goals, as is the right to food, which is championed by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization.

The UN Security Council fails to stop him because China has veto power over the bill that would have boycotted the Sudanese government. China doesn't take action against the genocide in Sudan because of political and financial reasons, and it needs a good diplomatic relationship with Sudan in order to purchase oil from Sudan.
