Water is a universal solvent
The Greek and Latin names for water may be used in the name of things like hydropower or aquarium. It is called the universal solvent because it can be used to remove many other compounds. The prank works because it takes advantage of people's misunderstanding.
It can make people think water is dangerous if it is called by an unfamiliar name. Nobody uses "dihydrogen monoxide" as a chemical name for water. The word "dihydrogen" means two hydrogens and "monoxide" means one oxygen.

The grey water footprint considers pollution discharged directly through a pipe or indirectly through a storm drain to be point-sourced.

Climate change and human activities can be assessed by changing the water budget over time. Researchers can quantify the impact of factors such as vegetation, geology, and soil conditions on the hydrologic cycle by comparing the water budgets from different areas.

Osmosis a process that does not require any energy. The concentration of the molecule is moved from a higher concentration to a lower one until it is equal on either side of the membranes. Osmosis affects the cells differently.
An animal cell will lyse if placed in a hypotonic solution. The plant cell requires more water. The cells will not burst when placed in a hypotonic solution.
